Thank you for visiting our site. If you have any questions about any of our services, please do not hesitate to contact us either in Japanese or English.
At International Academic Consultants (IAC) we offer classes for bicultural and bilingual children in order to help them maintain or advance in their English ability. Ordinarily the students are returnees, or have at least one English-speaking parent.
The textbooks we use are those used in schools overseas, and are chosen depending on the needs of the students in each class.

For the older children, the classes are divided into two sections. The first 45 minutes consist of reading, grammar and writing. The second 45 minutes are based on the unit of study. Students explore science and social studies topics through reading, writing, experimentation, research and presentations. Students are expected to be independent workers and do much of their topic studies at home.
Topics covered include the body, weather, plants, schools around the world, volcanoes, ancient Egypt, folktales, energy and electricity, global warming, and myths.
Our experienced and certified college counselor offers advice on short- and long-term study abroad programs, as well as universities in the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
We offer Japanese-English translation services at reasonable rates. Please contact us for further details.
We would like to thank your teaching staff for the wonderful experience we had at IAC. We worried so much that our children would forget to speak English while in Japan. Your classes and teachers helped us to bridge the language gap. After about 3 months we really started to notice a difference. Our daughter spoke little or no English when she first started attending IAC. After three months of classes, I was able to have conversations in English with her about simple things while walking to school each morning. We would highly recommend your school to anyone who seeks to further their child’s education while living in Japan. The two teachers were even better than many teachers in the United States. The dedication and energy that they brought to the classroom each week greatly impressed us. We wish nothing but the best for your school and its future.
